On a TV: the Downloader app

The easiest way on Android TV, Google TV and Fire TV Stick.

Downloader…

Open Google Play or the Amazon Appstore on the TV and install the Downloader app (orange icon).
Under Settings → Privacy & security → Unknown apps (Fire TV: My Fire TV → Developer options → Install unknown apps) allow Downloader to install apps.
Open Downloader, type the code … in the URL box and press Go.
When the download finishes press Install, then Open. You can delete the downloaded file afterwards to free space.
Open RODX from your apps and choose “Sign in from phone” to enter your details easily.

Type this link in the device browser or in Downloader's URL box:

Press download and wait for it to finish.
Open the file and allow installs from this source if asked.
When a new version is out, download it the same way; the app updates and keeps your data.

The direct build for Android comes with a 7-day trial and then needs an activation from the activation page. Store builds need no activation.
