1. Allow apps from unknown sources
From the home screen: Settings → My Fire TV → Developer options. If Developer options is missing, open About and press the device name seven times. Then Install unknown apps and enable it for Downloader once installed.
2. Install the Downloader app
Search the Amazon Appstore for Downloader (the orange icon by AFTVnews) and install it. It is a popular free app for downloading files on Fire TV.
3. Enter the RODX code
Open Downloader, select the URL box, type the code … and press Go. The RODX file starts downloading.
4. Install and open
When the download finishes press Install, then Open. You can delete the downloaded file when Downloader asks; the app is already installed.
5. Sign in from your phone
On the sign-in screen choose Sign in from phone, scan the code with your phone camera, then enter your Xtream Codes details or M3U link on the phone instead of typing with the remote.
Updates and problems
When a new version is out repeat step 3; the app updates and keeps your data. If you see “App not installed”, check free space and step 1. If streams stutter, see fix IPTV buffering.
