1. Try another channel
If only one channel stutters, the problem is that channel's stream at the provider, not your device. Report it to them.
2. Check your internet speed
HD needs about 8 Mbps, 4K about 25. Measure on the device itself, not on your phone.
3. Use a network cable or 5 GHz
2.4 GHz Wi-Fi is crowded and slow. Wire the TV if you can, or move to the 5 GHz network and bring the router closer.
4. Switch the playback engine
In RODX under Settings → Playback switch the engine (automatic, or the engines available on your device) and restart the channel; some streams play better on a particular engine.
5. Check the connection limit
If the subscription is open on two devices at once and its limit is one, both stutter. Close the app on the other device.
6. Restart the device and the router
Turn both off for thirty seconds and back on. On Fire TV clear the app cache under Settings → Applications.
7. Ask your provider
If every channel stutters on every device at the same times, the server is overloaded. No player can fix that.
Frequently asked questions
Does a bigger buffer solve it?
RODX tunes the buffer automatically and grows it when the stream stutters; a big fixed buffer adds delay in sport without curing a weak network.
Audio ahead of the picture?
Try switching the playback engine; if it persists, the stream's encoding at the provider is the cause.
